RICHMOND DISTRICT BLOG NOVEMBER 2012
Sherman Dsilva, the third candidate in the race, earned 7.5% of the vote in last night’s tally. Not bad for a man who pledged to only spend $500 on his entire campaign. Dsilva fared much better in our poll here on the blog, where he earned 16% of the votes.
We know D’Silva from his runs in the 2008 and 2012 District 1 Supervisor races. He’s a life long Richmond District resident and works as the Manager at Shermsonia Cleaners on Geary. His priorities if he gets elected are traffic lights-major corridors, cleaner streets, repairing sidewalks, repaving streets, graffiti abatement, and recycled water distribution. Interesting tidbit: D’Silva will not accept any donations and will not spend more than $1,000 on his campaign.
